whats up guys!
I've been thinking about this the last few years now (pretty much ever since i learned of the Canadian bullrun). I was thinking about organizing a cheaper version of Bullrun so we could get a pretty decent turn out! Now there would be sign up fee's but would not be as high as the official Canadian Bullrun ($7,000+,and its out west), and as more teams would sign up the fee's would most likely drop a bit.
Entry fee's would go towards making the stickers, help paying for hotels/meals, publicity(shirts, signs, hats, etc..), official website, PRIZES, and etc. I also would be trying to get sponsors and that would go towards paying for things also. At the very least, the entry fee's would just go towards the stickers of the cars and towards prizes.
I have a bunch of different routes in mind that are roughly between 2,800 and 4,000 kms each, but for THIS year I was thinking of a shorter route of no more then 1,500-2,000 kms just to get the ball rolling and fine tune the event. In a few years I'd like to do a full 4,500 km rally but like I said I would need more time to fine tune it and plan location/book hotels. If this project is put into action I might set up a few polls to see where people would like the start/finish point.
Now, the official Canadian Bullrun is about 7 days of luxury, this Bullrun will be more about the driving and the fun of the event and less luxury.
This event this year would probably run 3-5 days (2 nights) and each stage would run like the normal Bullrun and every now and then there would be a bonus stage that would help gain some points.
Anyways guys, I would really like some feed back on this!! The sooner I get some feed back, the better the event could be!
For those of you who don't know what bullrun is, this is the past years American version http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2kyIN2ltGgA&list=UUcRfosBuGTQzSIZx8kMG4Ag&index=7&feature=plcp
