While designing our web site we have tried to use font settings that will work and be compatible on a variety of systems using a variety of browsers. The default settings for font sizes and screen rendering on most pages are controled by a cascading stylesheet, and are such that the site should render fairly well in most up to date browsers that can handle CCS. In some cases older pages may render more faithfully using Netscape Navigator, it should still be fine viewed using Internet Explorer. Most pages are best viewed at a screen resolution of 1024 x 768 A minimum of 800 x 600 is acceptable

Valid CSS! This site uses Dynamic HTML (DHTML), including Cascading Style Sheets, level 1 (CSS1) for formatting control and JavaScript. Ideally, visitors should use a fairly modern web browser, such as Opera 3.5 or  Communicator 4.x or Internet Explorer 3.x or higher. If the pages are difficult to read or do not render well, please let Blake or Rolf know.

  Our CSS Stylesheet settings

Fonts

Our Stylesheet asks your browser to display text in specified sizes, and requests one of the following fonts to display the text:
Arial, Helvetica, Verdana, sans-serif
In other words, your browser is asked to show the text using one of the three named fonts if installed or in the default sans-serif font your have selected for your browser.

If the text and image versions of the same font above do not look releatively close, you may want to adjust your browser and internet settings

Font Sizes

The default font size our stylesheet sets for fonts is 12pt (points) for body text.
Check the settings in your browser if your fonts appear too small or too large.
If you have your browser set ot override our CSS settings, the text on the page may end up being smaller or larger than we requested.

In addition to font sizes and styles, newer browsers may let adjust for either 72 dpi or 96 dpi resolutions in the rendering engine. Mac's were originally based on 72 dpi which is related to a print imaging standard (picas and all those things). If your viewing of our pages looks off, you may want to check this setting.
Minor Differences Despite our best efforts, things may still not work out. We apologize for that.
